Why The Eye Attunement Matters
The Eye is the Tempest Keep raid and one of the key Phase 2 goals in The Burning Crusade Classic. The attunement is not hard when it is planned, but it becomes painful when players leave heroic keys, dungeon quests, or Magtheridon until the last minute.
Use this as a clean checklist before signing for KFC Tempest Keep raids.
Fast Checklist
- Reach level 70 and unlock heroic dungeon access for the required hubs.
- Complete the Netherstorm quest chain that leads into Tempest Keep access.
- Finish the Arcatraz key steps or make sure a party member can open the door.
- Complete the Trials of the Naaru heroic dungeon quests.
- Kill Magtheridon for the final raid step.
- Turn in the final quest and keep your Tempest Key ready.
Step 1: Netherstorm Setup
Start in Netherstorm and clear the quest chains around Area 52, Stormspire, and the Tempest Keep satellite dungeons. The important part is not only the experience or gold; these chains guide you toward the dungeon access requirements and make sure you are not missing prerequisite quests.
If you are joining late, ask in guild chat before doing random partial chains. Someone usually knows which step blocks the next part.
Step 2: Arcatraz Access
Arcatraz access is one of the most common bottlenecks. The raid does not need every single player to have the key to enter the dungeon, but every raider should understand the chain and help others finish it.
The practical route is:
- Complete the Netherstorm quest chain that awards the Arcatraz key fragments.
- Run the required Tempest Keep dungeons for the fragments.
- Combine the fragments into the Arcatraz key.
- Help guildmates finish the same chain so heroic groups are easier to form.
Step 3: Trials of the Naaru
The Trials of the Naaru send you into heroic dungeons. These runs are smoother when the group treats them like raid preparation rather than badge farming.
Bring consumes, repair first, and make sure everyone knows the hard trash pulls. A clean heroic clear saves more time than trying to brute-force a messy group.
Step 4: Magtheridon
Magtheridon is the raid gate for the final attunement step. The fight is straightforward when cube assignments are disciplined, interrupts are clean, and players do not panic during blast nova.
If you still need the Magtheridon step, mention it before reset so the raid leaders can group people efficiently.
KFC Raid Readiness
Before signing for The Eye, make sure you have:
- Correct enchants and gems for your current gear.
- Enough flasks, elixirs, oils, food, and mana or health consumables.
- Boss mod, threat meter, Gargul, and the guild-required raid addons.
- Time to stay for the full raid window.
- A clear answer if the raid leader asks about your attunement status.
The goal is simple: fewer surprises, faster pulls, and a cleaner Phase 2 clear.
